Epic EVE Online Video Posted
|
A few days ago one of our members, O B 1 2, posted up an excellent video from the persistent online game, EVE Online. If you've never played EVE before, in simple terms it's space-based RPG where you can join corporations, mine, battle, develop your character etc. The video is from a test server and shows one of the largest battles ever fought in EVE Online. The battle lasted over 48 hours! Here's is O B's own description of what's happening in the video: "I'll explain a bit about whats occuring. Big battle between 2 capital fleets. Obviously there are a stack of different types of ships too many to list. The little crosses are drones or fighters that ships are able to deploy.Carriers deploy fighters(these are the size of a cruiser) where as other ships deploy drones(smaller than a frigate and nowhere near as powerful as a fighter). Anything in the list on the right that is red is an enemy and when in a large fleet battle that overview is set to only show enemies as u are usually in verbal contact with ur own fleet." Many thanks to O B 1 2 for posting this up! |

zh1nt0 Interview - Part 2Yesterday we published part one of our interview with Dice's BattleField Community Manager, zh1nto. Today is the second part of that interview. The questions were aimed at gleaning a better understanding of the following two points:
Read on for the second part of this interview: ---- EuroGamers.eu: Can leagues and tournies approach you for support, either with prizes, or with you helping to get the word out?
---- EuroGamers.eu: What other activities are you planning on doing with/for the BF community?
zh1nto Interview - Part 1zh1nto, the BattleField Community Manager at Dice, has been kind enough to do a very extensive and in-depth interview with us. Our questions for him were geared at achieving two things:
Below is part 1 of the interview, part 2 will be published tomorrow, Wednesday July 28th: ---- EuroGamers.eu: You mentioned in the comment you posted here some details of what your job as Community Manager is. Many in the community are unclear on what your actual role is, so can you expand on that so we know what your job entails and, perhaps just as importantly, what it doesn't.
